Section 11-81-141 Powers of municipalities or counties generally; provisions in instruments or deeds of trust creating pledges, mortgages, liens, etc., for payment of bonds; determination of costs of acquisition, construction, etc., of undertakings. Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation. Section 41-14A-9 Procedures for payment of losses. (a) When the State Treasurer becomes aware that a default or insolvency has occurred, the State Treasurer shall provide notice as required in subsection (b) and implement the following procedures: (1) The State Treasurer shall obtain information from the Superintendent of Banks of the State Banking Department or the receiver of the qualified public depository in default in order to ascertain the amount of funds of each public depositor on deposit at such depository and the amount of deposit insurance applicable to such deposits. Section 39-2-12 Partial and final payments of contractors by awarding authorities. (a) As used in this section the following words shall have the meanings ascribed to them as follows: (1) CONTRACTOR.
