Section 9-14E-10 Construction and application of chapter. (a) This chapter shall constitute complete and comprehensive authority for the taking of all actions necessary and desirable to put into effect the policy and purposes of this chapter. This chapter shall only apply to the property defined herein, and shall not be construed to apply to any other state lands, including any other state park lands. Insofar as this chapter may be in conflict or inconsistent with any provisions of any other law concerning actions authorized by this chapter, this chapter shall control and govern, any other provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding. Subject to the foregoing, this chapter does and shall be construed to provide an additional and alternative method for the doing of the things authorized thereby and shall be regarded as supplemental and additional to other laws. Section 25-5-8 Employers' options to secure payment of compensation. (a) Option to insure risks. Section 39-2-12 Partial and final payments of contractors by awarding authorities. (a) As used in this section the following words shall have the meanings ascribed to them as follows: (1) CONTRACTOR. Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation.
