Section 45-37A-230 Demolition of unsafe buildings. (a) The City of Homewood shall have authority,
after notice as provided herein, to move or demolish buildings and structures, or parts of
buildings and structures, party walls, and foundations when the same are found by the governing
body of the city to be unsafe to the extent of being a public nuisance from any cause. (b)
The term appropriate city official as used in this section shall mean any city official or
city employee designated by the mayor or other chief executive officer of such city as the
person to exercise the authority and perform the duties delegated by this section to appropriate
city official. Whenever the appropriate city official of such city shall find that any building,
structure, part of building or structure, party wall, or foundation situated in any such city

Section 9-9-40 Bonds - Remedies and proceedings upon default. (a) If any installment of principal
and interest evidenced by any bonds issued under the provisions of this article shall not
be paid at the time and in the manner when the same shall become due and payable, the same
shall bear interest at the rate of eight percent per annum until paid, and if such default
shall continue for a period of 60 days, the holder or holders of such bond or bonds upon which

Section 11-53A-5 Assessment of costs against land purchased by the state; redemptioner or purchaser
to take property subject to assessment; manner of payment or collection of assessment. (a)
The city shall have the power to assess the costs authorized herein against any lot, lots,
parcel, or parcels of land purchased by the State of Alabama at any sale for the nonpayment
of taxes. A subsequent redemption of the property by any person authorized to redeem, or a

Section 40-29-28 Redemption of property. (a) Before sale. Any person whose property has been
levied upon hereunder or subject to execution under Section 40-2-11 shall have the right to
pay the amount due, together with the expenses of the proceeding, if any, to the commissioner
or his delegate at any time prior to the sale thereof, and upon such payment the commissioner
or his delegate shall restore such property to him, and all further proceedings in connection

Section 9-13-184 Participation by county commissions in fire protection program of State Forestry
