Section 45-35-83.60 Application; taxes and fees; issuance of tags and licenses. (a) On or after September 1st each year, the Judge of Probate of Houston County, if he or she elects to do so, may mail an application in the form and containing the information hereinafter provided to all owners of motor vehicles listed as such in the motor vehicle license records, including transfers, in the probate office or, at his or her option, to such owners as request that such application be mailed to them. (b) The application shall be on a form to be provided by the State Department of Revenue. The application form shall contain a space for the name and address of the owner of the motor vehicle and the make, model, year, and motor number of the motor vehicle and such other information with respect thereto as the State Department of Revenue may prescribe. Section 40-17-329 Exemptions. (a) Unless otherwise provided for in this subsection, sales of motor fuel to the following are exempt from the tax levied by subsection (a) of Section 40-17-325 and shall not be paid at the rack: (1) All motor fuel exported from this state for which proof of export is available in the form of a terminal issued destination state shipping document that is a. exported by a supplier who is licensed in the destination state or b. is sold by a supplier to a licensed exporter for immediate export to a state for which the applicable destination state motor fuel excise tax has been collected by the supplier who is licensed to remit the tax to the destination state. (a) It shall be the duty of each wholesale dealer or jobber who sells, stores, or delivers cigarettes to retail sellers in this county to affix to each package of cigarettes sold or delivered in the county a stamp or stamps in the proper amounts as set forth in Section 45-27-247.02. Each wholesaler or jobber who desires to do so may purchase stamps from the judge of probate at a 10 percent discount on the entire amount of sale when the purchases are made in quantities of two hundred dollars ($200) or more. Section 45-25-243 Lodging tax levied. (a) In DeKalb County, in addition to all other taxes imposed by law, there is levied a privilege or license tax in the amount herein prescribed against every person within the county engaging in the business of renting or furnishing a room or rooms, lodging or accommodations, to a transient in a hotel, motel, inn, condominium, house, tourist court, or another place in which rooms, lodgings, or accommodations are regularly furnished to transients for a consideration.
