Section 36-25-14 Filing of statement of economic interests. (a) A statement of economic interests
shall be completed and filed in accordance with this chapter with the commission no later
than April 30 of each year covering the period of the preceding calendar year by each of the
following: (1) All elected public officials at the state, county, or municipal level of government
or their instrumentalities. (2) Any person appointed as a public official and any person employed
as a public employee at the state, county, or municipal level of government or their instrumentalities
who occupies a position whose base pay is seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) or more
annually, as adjusted by the commission by January 31 of each year to reflect changes in the
U.S. Department of Labor's Consumer Price Index, or a successor index. (3) All candidates,

Section 40-14A-1 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall mean:
(a) ALABAMA S CORPORATION. An S corporation defined under Section 40-18-160. (b) C CORPORATION.

Section 36-25-1 Definitions. Whenever used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall
have the following meanings: (1) BUSINESS. Any corporation, partnership, proprietorship, firm,
enterprise, franchise, association, organization, self-employed individual, or any other legal

Section 45-9-243.40 Privilege or license tax. (a) The following words, terms, and phrases,
when used in this section, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except
where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) PERSON. Any natural person, firm,

Section 16-46B-3 Funding for teacher professional learning programs. (a) Subject to appropriation
from the Legislature, funds shall be appropriated to the department and the department shall
allocate those funds to eligible entities to develop and implement teacher professional learning

Section 34-13-23 Officers; rulemaking authority; compensation; executive director; disposition
of funds. (a)(1) The board appointed under this chapter and each successor thereto is authorized
to select from its own membership a chair and to adopt and promulgate such rules and regulations
for the transaction of its business and for the betterment and promotion of the standards
of service and practice to be followed in the funeral service profession in the State of Alabama

Section 36-25-3 State Ethics Commission - Creation, composition; annual reports; compensation;
political activities; director; personnel. (a) There is hereby created a State Ethics Commission
composed of five members, each of whom shall be a fair, equitable citizen of this state and
