Section 27-7-19 Licenses - Penalties. (a) The commissioner may place on probation, refuse to issue or renew, suspend, or revoke the license of any licensee under this chapter, or may levy a civil penalty in accordance with subsection (c), or any combination of actions, for any one or more of the following causes: (1) Any cause for which issuance of the license could have been refused had it then existed and been known to the commissioner. (2) Providing incorrect, misleading, incomplete, or materially untrue information in any application or in any communication to the commissioner. (3) Obtaining or attempting to obtain a license through misrepresentation or fraud. (4) Intentionally misrepresenting the terms of any actual or proposed insurance contract or application for insurance. (5) Having admitted or been found to have committed any insurance unfair trade practice or fraud. Section 32-9A-2 Compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations; in-service training by law enforcement officers. (a)(1) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b), no person may operate a commercial motor vehicle in this state, or fail to maintain required records or reports, in violation of the federal motor carrier safety regulations as prescribed by the U.S. Department of Transportation, 49 C.F.R. It shall be unlawful for any railroad train to obstruct any public street, road, or highway crossing-at-grade within a Class 1 municipality in the county for more than five minutes. b. (b) As used in this section, state sales tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes, including, but not limited to, Sections 40-23-1, 40-23-2, 40-23-3, and 40-23-4.
