Section 28-3A-24 Suspension or revocation of licenses; appointment of hearing commission;
notice, hearing and findings; fines. (a) The board shall have full and final authority as
to the suspension or revocation of any license issued under this chapter and to levy a fine
against a licensee in lieu of such suspension or revocation. The board shall have the full
right and authority to suspend any retail license issued by it for any reason which it may
deem sufficient and proper. Provided, however, the board may appoint a hearing commission
of not less than three members to hear and decide all contested applications of licenses under
this chapter, and hear and decide all charges against any licensee for violation of this chapter,
the law or the regulations of the board and shall have the power and authority to revoke or

Section 32-7A-17 Reinstatement of suspended registration; verification by license plate
issuing officials. (a) License plate issuing officials shall not register or re-register a
motor vehicle or transfer the license plates if the registration is suspended pursuant to
Section 32-7A-12. (b) Notwithstanding subsection (a), upon the request of the registrant,
the license plate issuing official shall reinstate a registrant's suspended registration at
such time the registrant meets the provisions of reinstatement provided for by this chapter.

Section 34-5A-7 Expiration and renewal of license. (a) A license shall be granted for
a period of two years and shall expire on December 31 in the second year. Before the expiration
of a license, the license may be renewed upon submission of an application for renewal, including
proof of continued certification by the certifying entity and payment of the renewal fee imposed
by the board. (b) All licenses issued pursuant to this chapter shall be subject to renewal
and shall expire unless renewed in the manner prescribed by the rules of the board upon the
payment of a renewal fee. The board may provide for a late renewal of a license upon payment
of a late renewal fee if all conditions for renewal have been satisfied and upon payment of

Section 45-39-200.05 Business licenses. Before any person, firm, or corporation shall
engage in or carry on any business or other activity in the county for which a license is
required by law, a license for the activity shall be purchased from the commissioner and he

license. This license shall have a fee of nine dollars ($9), plus an issuance fee of one dollar

Section 32-7-9 Application to nonresidents, unlicensed drivers, unregistered motor vehicles
and accidents in other states. (a) In case the operator or the owner of a motor vehicle involved
