Section 41-16-123 Provisions applicable to certain property held by division. This section shall apply only to that property that has been held by the division for a period of not less than 60 days from the date the property is first published in the list of surplus property, as set out in subsection (b) of Section 41-16-121, and not purchased by any eligible entity as set out in subsection (e) of Section 41-16-120 as follows: (1) All contracts made by or on behalf of the State of Alabama or a department, board, bureau, commission, institution, corporation, or agency thereof, of whatever nature for the sale or disposal of tangible personal property owned by the State of Alabama, other than the following: a. Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation. Section 36-17-3 Duties generally. The powers, functions, and duties of the Treasurer shall be: (1) To receive all moneys due the state and deposit them in the proper accounts.
