Section 11-88-6 Board of directors. (a) Each authority shall be governed by a board of directors. All powers of the authority shall be exercised by the board or pursuant to its authorization. (b) The board shall consist initially of three directors, elected, as soon as may be practicable after the organization of the authority, by the governing body of the determining county for staggered terms as follows: The first term of one director shall begin immediately upon the director's election and shall end at noon on March 1 of the next succeeding odd-numbered calendar year following the election; the first term of another director shall begin immediately upon his or her election and shall end at noon on March 1 of the second succeeding odd-numbered calendar year following the election; and the first term of the remaining director shall begin immediately upon his or her election and shall end at noon on March 1 of the third succeeding odd-numbered calendar year following the election....

Section 45-39A-11.05 Civic Center Authority - Revenue bonds. (a) Subject to the conditions, qualifications, and restrictions set forth in subsection (e), the authority shall have the power to borrow money and to issue revenue bonds as evidence of money so borrowed, which bonds shall be payable solely from taxes made payable to the authority by an act of the Legislature heretofore or hereafter adopted and from the revenues of the authority derived from the activities, operations, and enterprises in which the authority is hereby authorized to engage. Section 6-5-337 Immunity of those involved in equine activities. (a) The Legislature recognizes that persons who participate in equine activities may incur injuries as a result of the risks involved in those activities. The Legislature also finds that the state and its citizens derive numerous economic and personal benefits from equine activities. The Legislature finds, determines, and declares that for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, and to encourage equine activities, this legislation is to limit the civil liability of those involved in equine activities. (b) As used in this section, the following words shall mean the following unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) ENGAGES IN AN EQUINE ACTIVITY.
