Section 9-11-25 Licenses and permits not transferable; penalties. (a) Licenses and permits
issued by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources pursuant to this chapter are
not transferable, and it is unlawful for any person to borrow, lend, or alter the licenses
or permits or for any issuing officer to backdate any license or permit. (b) A person who
violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished
by a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50) nor more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250).

Section 40-25-18 Evasion of stamp tax. (a) Persons failing to properly affix the required stamps
to any cigars, cheroots, stogies, cigarettes, smoking tobacco, chewing tobacco, and snuff
shall be required to pay, as part of the tax imposed hereunder, a penalty of not less than
twenty-five dollars ($25) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500). Each article or commodity
not having proper stamps affixed thereto as herein required shall be deemed a separate offense.
Any cigars, cheroots, stogies, cigarettes, smoking tobacco, chewing tobacco, and snuff in
the place of business of any person required by this article to stamp the same shall be prima
facie evidence that they are intended for sale. The Department of Revenue, upon good cause
shown, may waive or remit any penalty or any part thereof provided for in this section. Any

Section 2-15-136 Penalty for violations of provisions of article; injunctive proceedings to
restrain operation by dealer in violation of provisions of article. (a) Any person who shall
engage in business as a dealer as defined in Section 2-15-131 without having a license as

Section 33-5-70 Reckless operation of vehicle; careless operation; violation of rules and regulations
of Marine Police; penalties. (a) It is unlawful to operate a vessel in a reckless manner upon
the waters of this state. A person is guilty of the reckless operation of a vessel who operates
any vessel, or manipulates any water skis, aquaplane, or other marine transportation device,
upon the waters of this state in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or
property at a speed, or in a manner to endanger, or likely to endanger, life, limb, or damage
the property of, or injure any person. Any person who violates this subsection is guilty of
a Class A misdemeanor, punishable upon conviction as provided in Sections 13A-5-7 and 13A-5-12.

Section 5-19A-17 Penalties for willful violation of chapter or for false entry in required
records; compliance enforced by supervisor; order requiring person to refrain from violation.
(a) In addition to any other penalty which may be applicable, any licensee who willfully violates
this chapter or who willfully makes a false entry in any record specifically required by this
chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by

seafood products. All saltwater finfish commercially harvested in the State of Alabama, except
those lawfully taken by purse seine, shall be landed in this state and reported through a
