Section 34-14A-6 Exemptions. This chapter does not apply to: (1) Any employee of a licensee who does not hold himself or herself out for hire or engage in residential home building, except as such employee of a licensee. (2) An authorized employee of the United States, the State of Alabama, or any municipality, county, or other political subdivision, if the employee does not hold himself or herself out for hire or otherwise engage in residential home building except in accordance with his or her employment. (3) General contractors holding a current and valid license, issued prior to January 1, 1992, under Chapter 8 of this title. Section 45-1A-30 Sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages within two miles of Ivy Creek Methodist Church. (a) Pursuant to the authority of Section 104 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, on and after December 1, 2001, no person or other entity may sell any alcoholic beverage for on-premises or off-premises consumption, nor allow the consumption of alcoholic beverages in any bar, restaurant, or other commercial or business establishment within two miles of the Ivy Creek Methodist Church in the Mulberry Community of Autauga County. Section 33-5-52 Boater safety certification generally. (a) Every person, except those specifically exempted by statutory enactment, within five years from April 28, 1994, shall procure a boater safety certification before operating a motorized vessel upon the waters of this state, as defined in Section 33-5-3. This section shall not apply to any sailboat, rowboat, or canoe.
