Section 2-17-37 Penalties for violations of chapter; commissioner not required to report minor violations of chapter for prosecution, etc. (a) Any person, firm or corporation who violates any provision of this chapter for which no other criminal penalty is provided by this chapter shall, upon conviction, be subject to imprisonment for not more than one year or a fine of not more than $1,000.00; provided, that no person, firm or corporation shall be subject to penalties under this section for receiving for transportation or transporting any article or animal in violation of this chapter if such receipt or transportation was made in good faith, unless such person, firm or corporation refuses to furnish on request of a representative of the commissioner the name and address of the person from whom he received such article or animal and copies of all documents, if any there be, pertaining to the delivery of the article or animal to him. Section 25-9-69 Compensation for rescue work; workers' compensation benefits. When engaged in rescue or recovery work during an emergency at a mine, all crew members assigned to the work shall be considered during the period of their work, employees of the mine where the emergency exists and shall be compensated by the operator at the rate established in the area for such work.
