Section 40-17A-13 Confidentiality of records and reports; violation; publishing statistics; applicability of forfeiture laws. (a) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, neither the commissioner nor a public employee may reveal facts contained in a report or return required by this chapter, nor can any information contained in such a report or return be used against the dealer in any criminal proceeding, except in connection with a proceeding involving taxes due under this chapter, unless such information is independently obtained. (b) Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a Class C misdemeanor. (c) This section does not prohibit the Commissioner of Revenue from publishing statistics that do not disclose the identity of dealers or the contents of particular returns or reports. Section 9-11-37 Issuance of licenses generally - Issuance fee; reports. (a) There shall be a $1.00 issuance fee for all licenses sold by the Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, which shall be in addition to the prescribed cost of such licenses. In counties where the probate judge or issuing officer is on the fee system, the issuing fee shall be retained by the probate judge or issuing officer, and in counties where the probate judge or issuing officer is on a salary basis, the fee shall be paid by him into the county treasury to the credit of the appropriate fund. Section 2-11-38 Proceedings for enforcement of provisions of chapter and rules or regulations promulgated thereunder generally. (a) It shall be the duty of each district attorney to whom any violation is reported to cause appropriate proceedings to be instituted and prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction without delay.
