Section 41-10-424 Board of directors. (a) The authority shall be governed by a board of directors,
constituted as provided for in this section. All powers of the authority shall be exercised
by said board or pursuant to its authorization. The directors shall elect officers of the
board. The presence of a majority of the members of the board of directors, or their designees,
shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. No vacancy on the board of directors
or the voluntary disqualification or abstention of any director thereof shall impair the right
of a quorum of the board of directors to act. Any action which may be taken at a meeting of
the directors or committee of directors may be taken without a meeting if a consent in writing,
setting forth the action so taken, is signed by all the directors or all the members of the

Section 45-19-70.04 Chair of commission; compensation. Beginning with the term of office which
commences in November, 2000, the five members of the Coosa County Commission shall elect from
among themselves a chair who shall serve at the pleasure of the commission. The chair and
each commissioner shall receive salary as provided in Section 11-3-4.1. In the event of a
vacancy in the office of chair during a term of office, the members of the commission shall
select a chair from among themselves to complete the term of office. Immediately upon selection
of a chair, the judge of probate shall cease to be an ex officio member and chair of the county

Section 29-2-275 Requested assistance; compensation. The Secretary of the Senate, the Clerk
of the House of Representatives, and any advisory subcommittees shall provide any assistance
as may be necessary at the committee's request. Each legislative member of the committee and

Section 34-21A-5 Officers, executive director, and administration of the board. (a) At its
annual organizational meeting, the board shall elect from its members a chair, vice-chair,
and a secretary/treasurer for a one-year term of office. No board member shall serve more

Section 41-24A-1 Creation; composition; operation. There is hereby created the State Executive
Commission on Community Services Grants, hereafter referred to as the commission, which shall
be designated a grant-making agency to receive and by majority vote to distribute any appropriations
made by the Legislature to the commission for the community services grant program pursuant
to Chapter 24 of this title. The commission shall consist of the State Superintendent of Education,

Oversight Commission of the Workforce Development Division to consist of the Chairman and

in the office of Chief Deputy Sheriff of Jefferson County, such office shall cease to be in
the classified service of the county pursuant to the county civil service or merit system
