Section 22-23B-2 Definitions. The following words and phrases, whenever used in this chapter, shall have the following respective meanings unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: AUTHORITY. The corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter as a public corporation, agency and instrumentality of the state and known as the "Alabama Drinking Water Finance Authority." AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION. A resolution, order or other proceedings adopted by the board of directors of the authority authorizing the issuance of bonds, agreements and related matters. BOARD OF DIRECTORS. The board of directors of the authority. BOND PROCEEDS. The net proceeds of sale of bonds or notes, and the income derived from the investment of such proceeds. BONDS. The bonds, notes or obligations or other evidences of indebtedness issued by the authority under the provisions of this chapter. DEPARTMENT. Section 24-1A-6 Bonds. (a) General. The authority may from time to time issue its negotiable bonds in such principal amounts as, in the opinion of the authority, shall be necessary to provide sufficient funds for achieving the corporate purposes thereof, the payment of interest on bonds of the authority, establishment of reserves to secure such bonds and all other expenditures of the authority incident to, and necessary or convenient to, carrying out its corporate purposes and powers. Section 41-10-66 Annual audit of books and accounts of authority; disposition of reports thereof. At least once every 12 months subsequent to the formation of the authority, the authority shall appoint and employ a certified public accountant who shall make an examination in detail of all books and accounts of the authority since the preceding examination and make a full report thereof in writing to be submitted to the authority and spread upon its minute book at the first meeting of the board after the receipt of said report. A copy of each such report shall be retained in the principal office of the authority and made available at reasonable hours to any holder of any bond of the authority upon request. Section 27-31A-3.1 Risk retention groups to comply with governance standards. (a) By January 1, 2016, existing risk retention groups shall be in compliance with the governance standards set forth in this section. New risk retention groups shall be in compliance with these standards at the time of licensure.
