Section 11-68-11 Issuance of certificate; factors considered; reasons for rejection; application for reconsideration; effect of rejection on issuance of building permit. (a) The historic preservation commission shall approve an application and issue a certificate of appropriateness if it finds that the proposed change, erection, or demolition conforms to the general design standards established by the commission, is compatible with the character of the historic property or historic district and does not detract from the value of the historic property or historic district. In making this determination, the commission shall consider, in addition to any other pertinent factors, the historic and architectural features involved and the proposed change thereto, and the relationship thereof, to the exterior architectural style, and pertinent features of other structures in the immediate neighborhood. (a) An action against an accused shall begin by serving the accused either personally or by certified mail with a copy of the formal complaint against him or her. Section 45-15-82.30 Renewal of business license by mail. The judge of probate may mail an application for renewal of business licenses to whom such license has been previously issued, such renewal forms required to be returned prior to the expiration date of the license. Such renewal forms may be in postcard form and with sufficient information thereon to adequately identify and process such renewal. The signature of the licensee thereon and proper remittance shall constitute sufficient authority for the judge of probate to issue such license and return to the licensee by mail.
