Section 24-4A-3 Powers and duties of commission generally; insignia of approval; modification
of units prior to or during installation; authority of local government agencies; fee schedule;
manufactured buildings approved by other states. (a) The commission is authorized to promulgate
rules, and enter into contracts, and do such things as may be necessary and incidental to
the administration of its authority pursuant to this chapter. (b) After the effective date
of the rules adopted pursuant to this chapter, no manufactured building shall be sold, or
offered for sale, or installed, in this state unless it is approved and bears the insignia
of approval of the commission. (c) The Factory-Built Housing Act of 1971 and the rules promulgated
under that act shall continue until the effective date of subsection (b) of this section,

Section 41-4-96 Penalties for violations of article. A wilful and knowing refusal to perform
any of the requirements of this article or a wilful and knowing refusal to perform any rule
or requirement or request of the Governor, Director of Finance or the Budget Officer made

Section 34-14A-4 Officers; meetings; compensation. (a) Members of the board shall select from
its own membership a chair, who shall preside at all meetings of the board unless otherwise
ordered, and he or she shall exercise and perform all duties and functions incident to the
office of chair. The board may select from its own membership a vice-chair, a secretary, and

Section 41-27-6 Appointment of the Director of the Department of Public Safety; functions of
department; Highway Patrol Division; Marine Police Division. (a)(1) The Director of the Department
of Public Safety shall be appointed by the Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement

chief executive officer of the State Department of Human Resources shall be known as the Commissioner
