Section 11-101A-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) APPLICANT. A natural person who files a written application with the governing body of a county or municipality, or two or more thereof, in accordance with Section 11-101A-3. (2) AUTHORITY. A public corporation organized pursuant to this chapter. (3) AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION. A resolution adopted by the governing body of an authorizing subdivision in accordance with Section 11-101A-3, that authorizes the incorporation of an authority under this chapter. (4) AUTHORIZING SUBDIVISION. Each county and municipality with the governing body of which an application for the incorporation of an authority under this chapter is filed. (5) BOARD. Section 13A-9-150 Public assistance fraud; penalties. (a) For the purposes of this section, public assistance means money or property provided directly or indirectly to eligible persons through programs of the federal government, the state, or any political subdivision thereof, including any program administered by a public housing authority. Section 16-18A-4 Powers and duties. The purpose of the authority shall be to assist institutions for higher education in the construction, financing and refinancing of the projects. Section 34-21-126 Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators. (a) The party states hereby create and establish a joint public entity known as the Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators. (1) The commission is an instrumentality of the party states. Section 34-27-36 Disciplinary action - Generally. (a) The commission or its staff may on its own, or on the verified complaint in writing of any person, investigate the actions and records of a licensee. The commission may issue subpoenas and compel the testimony of witnesses and the production of records and documents during an investigation. If probable cause is found, a formal complaint shall be filed and the commission shall hold a hearing on the formal complaint. (a) The bureau may conduct programs including, but not limited to, programs of information and publicity designed to attract conventions and tourists to the area. (a) This section shall only apply to those areas outside the corporate limits of the Cities of Auburn, Opelika, and Phenix City in Lee County.
