Section 32-5-310 Enforcement of chapter; arrest procedure; bail bond. Any peace officer, including
state troopers, sheriffs and their deputies, constables and their deputies, police officers
and marshals of cities or incorporated towns, county police or patrols, state or county license
inspectors and their deputies, and special officers appointed by any agency of the State of
Alabama for the enforcement of its laws relating to motor vehicles, now existing or hereafter
enacted, shall be authorized, and it is hereby made the duty of each of them to enforce the
provisions of this chapter and to make arrests for any violation or violations thereof, without
warrant if the offense be committed in his or her presence, and with warrant if he or she
does not observe the commission of the offense. If the arrest be made without warrant, the
accused may elect to be immediately taken before the nearest court having jurisdiction, whereupon

Section 36-25-1 Definitions. Whenever used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall
have the following meanings: (1) BUSINESS. Any corporation, partnership, proprietorship, firm,
enterprise, franchise, association, organization, self-employed individual, or any other legal

Section 41-9-633 Persons wanted, vehicles and property stolen - Reporting by criminal justice
agencies. All criminal justice agencies within the state shall report to ALEA, in a time and
manner prescribed by the commission, all persons wanted by and all vehicles and property stolen
from their jurisdictions. The reports shall be made as soon as is practicable after the investigating
department or agency either determines a vehicle or identifiable property has been stolen,
obtains a warrant for an individual's arrest, or determines that there are reasonable grounds
to believe that the individual has committed the crime. In no event shall this time exceed
12 hours after the reporting department or agency determines that it has grounds to believe
that a vehicle or property was stolen or that the wanted person should be arrested. The commission

Section 32-5B-4 Safety belt requirements for occupants of passenger cars; exemptions. (a)(1)
Each occupant of a passenger car manufactured with safety belts in compliance with Federal
Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 208 shall have a safety belt properly fastened about his
or her body at all times when the vehicle is in motion. (2) An adult occupant of a passenger
car in violation of subdivision (1) shall be the proper person to be charged with the violation.
(3) Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, a violation of this section in any
seat other than a front seat of a vehicle shall be a secondary violation after a lawful stop
of the vehicle based on probable cause of another violation of law and the issuance of a citation

Section 15-23-4 Alabama Crime Victims Compensation Commission - Created; composition; meetings;
rules and regulations; bond; compensation. (a) There is hereby created the Alabama Crime Victims
Compensation Commission, which shall be composed of three citizens of the State of Alabama,
who shall be appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate, for terms
of four years each or until their successors are appointed and qualified. Provided however,
