Section 8-6-141 Registration - Beneficiary form. Only individuals whose registration of a security
shows sole ownership by one individual or multiple ownership by two or more with right of
survivorship, rather than as tenants in common, may obtain registration in beneficiary form.
Multiple owners of a security registered in beneficiary form hold as joint tenants with right
of survivorship, as tenants by the entireties, or as owners of community property held in

Section 8-6-146 Death of owner. On death of a sole owner or the last to die of all multiple
owners, ownership of securities registered in beneficiary form passes to the beneficiary or
beneficiaries who survive all owners. On proof of death of all owners and compliance with
any applicable requirements of the registering entity, a security registered in beneficiary
form may be reregistered in the name of the beneficiary or beneficiaries who survived the
death of all owners. Until division of the security after the death of all owners, multiple
beneficiaries surviving the death of all owners hold their interests as tenants in common.
If no beneficiary survives the death of all owners, the security belongs to the estate of

Section 5-24-1 Definitions. In this chapter: (1) ACCOUNT means a contract of deposit between
a depositor and a financial institution, and includes a checking account, savings account,
time deposit, certificate of deposit, and share account. (2) AGENT means a person authorized

Section 7-8-308 (Effective Until January 1, 1997) Indorsement, how made; special indorsement;
indorser not a guarantor; partial assignment. (1) An indorsement of a security in registered
form is made when an appropriate person signs on it or on a separate document an assignment
or transfer of the security or a power to assign or transfer it or when the signature of such
person is written without more upon the back of the security. (2) An indorsement may be in
blank or special. An indorsement in blank includes an indorsement to bearer. A special indorsement

Section 40-23-4 Exemptions. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and
from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division
the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined
in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating
oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state
