Section 8-5-25 Contracts, writings and paper circulated as money subject to payments, setoffs
and discounts prior to notice of assignment. All contracts and writings, except such as are
governed by the Uniform Commercial Code, and paper issued to circulate as money, are subject
to all payments, setoffs, and discounts had or possessed against the same previous to notice

Section 39-2-12 Partial and final payments of contractors by awarding authorities. (a) As used
in this section the following words shall have the meanings ascribed to them as follows: (1)
CONTRACTOR. Any natural person, partnership, company, firm, corporation, association, limited
liability company, cooperative, or other legal entity licensed by the Alabama State Licensing
Board for General Contractors. (2) NONRESIDENT CONTRACTOR. A contractor which is neither a.

Section 11-97-10 Security for payment of bonds; contracts and agreements to secure. (a) Bonds
issued by any corporation may, as its board may deem advisable, be either general obligations
of such corporation or limited obligations payable only out of certain specified revenues
or assets of such corporation; provided, that any corporation may enter into contracts with

Section 27-44-8 Powers and duties of association. (a) If a member insurer is an impaired insurer,
the association may, in its discretion and subject to any conditions imposed by the association
that do not impair the contractual obligations of the impaired insurer, and that are approved

on same. Every bill of exchange, note, bond, or instrument of any description, whatever may
be its form or device, issued with the intent to circulate as money without authority of law,
