Section 27-22A-7 Application for license and fees. (a) A sworn application for a license under this chapter shall be made to and filed with the department on forms prescribed and furnished by the commissioner. (b) The application shall provide all of the following: (1) The name, residence address, and other information required by the commissioner for an employee or officer of the vendor that is designated by the applicant as the person responsible for the vendor's compliance with the requirements of this chapter. However, if the vendor derives more than 50 percent of its revenue from the sale of portable electronics insurance the information noted above shall be provided for all officers, directors, and shareholders of record having beneficial ownership of 10 percent or more of any class of securities registered under the federal securities law. Section 27-27-16 Domestic mutual insurers - Bond or deposit in lieu thereof. (a) Before soliciting any applications for insurance required under Section 27-27-15, as qualification for the original certificate of authority, the incorporators of the proposed mutual insurer shall file with the commissioner a corporate surety bond in the penalty of $15,000.00 in favor of the State of Alabama and for the use and benefit of the state and of applicant members and creditors of the corporation. Section 27-36-3 Unearned premium reserve - Property, general casualty and surety insurance. (a) As to insurance against loss or damage to property, except as provided in Section 27-36-4, and as to all general casualty insurance and surety insurance, every insurer shall maintain an unearned premium reserve on all policies in force.
