Section 22-22A-9 Transfer of functions, personnel, equipment, funds, etc., to Department of Environmental Management. (a) All employees engaged in duties pertaining to the functions transferred by this chapter to the department, shall be assigned to the department on October 1, 1982, to perform their usual duties, subject to any action that may be appropriate thereafter in accordance with the laws and rules governing personnel and employees. (b) All files, books, papers, records, equipment, furniture, motor vehicles, any other tangible property, and any other asset employed in carrying out the powers, duties and functions transferred by this chapter to the department shall, on October 1, 1982, be transferred to the department. Section 45-45-170 Animal control shelter program. (a) The Madison County Commission is hereby authorized to establish an animal control shelter program in Madison County and to provide such program or to enter into contracts with other governmental or private agencies for the operation and maintenance of the program. (b) If an animal control shelter program is established, each dog and cat in Madison County shall be licensed annually. The Madison County Commission is authorized to establish the annual license fee; however, such annual fee shall not be less than one dollar ($1) nor more than six dollars ($6). Any dog or cat not having a license shall be taken into custody and retained for 10 days before its disposal, either by sale or putting to death. Section 45-49-151.14 Tax due on pari-mutuel pools; distribution of contributions; capital improvement fund. (a) Every licensee conducting race meetings pursuant to this subpart shall pay to the racing commission for its use, a tax on the total contributions to all pari-mutuel pools conducted or made on a racetrack licensed under this subpart in an amount equal to eight percent until April 17, 1992, and seven percent thereafter. Except as otherwise provided in this subpart, the commission of a licensee on a pari-mutuel pool shall not exceed 19 percent of the amount contributed to the pari-mutuel pool, including the tax provided in this section. Section 14-6-47 Prisoner Feeding Fund; forms for records; disposition of funds. (a) The Prisoner Feeding Fund is established in the office of each sheriff. Except as provided in subsection (b), all monies received in the sheriff's office for food and services in preparing food, serving food, and other services incident to the feeding of prisoners in the county jail pursuant to this chapter, shall be deposited in the Prisoner Feeding Fund and shall be kept separate from all other monies. Section 34-5A-7 Expiration and renewal of license. (a) A license shall be granted for a period of two years and shall expire on December 31 in the second year. Before the expiration of a license, the license may be renewed upon submission of an application for renewal, including proof of continued certification by the certifying entity and payment of the renewal fee imposed by the board. (b) All licenses issued pursuant to this chapter shall be subject to renewal and shall expire unless renewed in the manner prescribed by the rules of the board upon the payment of a renewal fee. Section 41-15C-1 Creation; funding and distribution. (a) There is hereby created the Alabama Senior Services Trust Fund as a separate fund in the State Treasury.
