Section 2-17-1 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) COMMISSIONER. The Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries of the State of Alabama or his duly authorized representative. (2) FIRM. Any partnership, association or other unincorporated business organization. (3) MEAT BROKER. Any person, firm or corporation engaged in the business of buying or selling carcasses, parts of carcasses, meat or meat food products of cattle, sheep, swine, goats, horses, mules or other equines or poultry on commission or otherwise negotiating purchases or sales of such articles other than for his own account or as an employee of another person, firm or corporation. Section 27-7-5.3 Licenses - Limited license for self-service storage facility. (a) As used in this section, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) LIMITED LICENSEE. A person or entity authorized to sell certain coverages for personal property maintained in self-service storage facilities pursuant to this section. (2) OCCUPANT. A person, his or her sublessee, successor, or assign entitled to the use of the storage space at a self-service storage facility under a rental agreement, to the exclusion of others. (3) OWNER. The State of Alabama hereby agrees to the following interstate compact known as the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Compact: ARTICLE I. PURPOSES. Section 45-6-242.20 Additional sales and use tax; collection, distribution, and use of proceeds. (a) This section shall only apply to Bullock County. (b) As used in this section state sales and use tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes, including, but not limited to, Sections 40-23-1, 40-23-2, 40-23-3, 40-23-4, 40-23-60, 40-23-61, 40-23-62, and 40-23-63.
