Section 9-11-25 Licenses and permits not transferable; penalties. (a) Licenses and permits issued by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources pursuant to this chapter are not transferable, and it is unlawful for any person to borrow, lend, or alter the licenses or permits or for any issuing officer to backdate any license or permit. (b) A person who violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50) nor more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250). Section 34-1A-7 Licenses - Required. (a) Effective January 1, 1998, it shall be unlawful for any person or business entity to engage in a business regulated by this chapter in this state without a current valid license or in violation of this chapter and applicable rules and regulations of the board. Section 34-7B-7 Application for examination or licensure. (a) Any person who desires to engage in any of the practices regulated by the board pursuant to this chapter shall be a citizen of the United States or, if not a citizen of the United States, a person who is legally present in the United States with appropriate documentation from the federal government, and shall file with the board a written application for examination or licensure.
