Section 34-14B-4 Certificate of licensure. (a) The certificate of licensure shall be initially issued only to properly qualified home inspectors for a period commencing on the date of issue and expiring on December 31. Certificates of licensure shall be renewed for a term of one year beginning on January 1 of the year in which renewed and expiring on December 31 of that year. Certificates of licensure shall be renewed on or before 60 days prior to the expiration date. The Building Commission shall issue certificates of licensure to applicants upon applicants' compliance with the licensure requirements of this chapter, and records of certificates and any renewals thereof shall be filed in the office of the Building Commission and be available to the public.
