Section 40-23-60 Definitions. For the purpose of this article, the following terms shall have the respective meanings ascribed to them in this section: (1) PERSON or COMPANY. Any individual, firm, company, partnership, association, corporation, receiver or trustee, or any other group or combination acting as a unit, and the plural as well as the singular number, unless the intention to give a more limited meaning is disclosed by the context. Section 45-49-170.73 Report of cost of demolition; adoption of resolution fixing costs; proceeds of sale of salvaged materials; objections; lien. (a) Upon demolition of any building or structure pursuant to this subpart, the appropriate county official shall make a report to the county commission of the demolition costs at a meeting held for that purpose, and the county commission shall adopt a resolution fixing the costs which it finds were reasonably incurred in the demolition, and shall assess those costs against the property. The appropriate county official shall give notice of the meeting at which the fixing of such costs are to be considered by first-class mail to all entities having an interest in the property whose address and interest is determined from the tax collector's records on the property or is otherwise known to the official. Section 9-15-78 Bids to be publicly taken by director; notice; bids to become public record. The bids shall be publicly taken or opened in Montgomery or such other place as may be designated by the Lands Division, in case of sealed bids, by the Director of the Lands Division of the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources or his or her designee and the department, board, bureau, commission, institution, corporation, or agency selling the property may have a representative present. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports it out-of-state, which are otherwise taxed. (a) District management corporations shall be incorporated under the Alabama Nonprofit Corporation Act (Chapter 3A of Title 10) and shall exercise their powers in a manner consistent with such act. Section 33-5A-4 Liens and fees; sale. Except for vessels subject to Section 33-5A-5: (1) A person who removes, stores, or sells a vessel in accordance with this chapter shall have a lien on the vessel for all of the following: a. The reasonable fees connected with the removal and storage of the vessel. b. The court costs and filing fees incurred in obtaining a court order for the sale of the vessel. c. The notification and advertisement costs incurred. d. The costs incurred in selling the vessel.
