Section 36-25-1 Definitions. Whenever used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the following meanings: (1) BUSINESS. Any corporation, partnership, proprietorship, firm, enterprise, franchise, association, organization, self-employed individual, or any other legal entity. (2) BUSINESS WITH WHICH THE PERSON IS ASSOCIATED. Any business of which the person or a member of his or her family is an officer, owner, partner, board of director member, employee, or holder of more than five percent of the fair market value of the business. (3) CANDIDATE. This term as used in this chapter shall have the same meaning ascribed to it in Section 17-5-2. (4) COMMISSION. The State Ethics Commission. (5) COMPLAINT. Written allegation or allegations that a violation of this chapter has occurred. (6) COMPLAINANT. Section 41-4-322 Programs; director; standards; duties of director and local indigent defense advisory board; budget. (a) The office shall develop and improve programs to provide legal representation to indigents. (b) The office shall have a director, who shall be chosen by the Director of Finance on the basis of training, experience, and other qualifications. The term of office shall be three years, subject to termination for cause. Section 45-39-40.21 Barbers commission. (a) There is hereby created a barbers commission for the county to which his article applies. The Governor shall appoint three persons, each of whom immediately prior to the date of his or her appointment has been a resident of the county for three years, and who has had at least five years' experience as a barber, one member to be appointed for a term of one year, one member to be appointed for a term of two years, and one member to be appointed for a term of three years. Section 9-17-101 Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board - Creation; composition; meetings; rules and regulations. (a) There is created and established the Alabama Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board.
