Section 41-4-50 Established; functions and duties. There shall be in the Department of Finance the division of control and accounts. The functions and duties of the division of control and accounts shall be as follows: (1) To keep all books, records and accounts relating to the finances of the state government (including the budget accounts) which are authorized or required to be kept by the Department of Finance, in accordance with recognized standards of public accounting and in such a manner as at all times to reveal the true financial status of the state government and of each special fund and account in the State Treasury. An employer subject to this chapter may secure the payment of compensation under this chapter by insuring and keeping insured his or her liability in some insurance corporation, association, organization, insurance association, corporation, or association formed of employers and workers or formed by a group of employers to insure the risks under this chapter, operating by mutual assessment or other plans or otherwise. Section 27-5A-7 Required contract provisions; reinsurance intermediary-managers. Transactions between a reinsurance intermediary-manager and the reinsurer it represents in that capacity shall only be entered into pursuant to a written contract, specifying the responsibilities of each party, which shall be approved by the reinsurer's board of directors. At least 30 days before a reinsurer assumes or cedes business through a producer, a true copy of the approved contract shall be filed with the commissioner for approval.
