receives a financial asset and establishes a security entitlement to the financial asset in
favor of an entitlement holder is a purchaser for value of the financial asset. A securities

Section 7-8-511 Priority among security interests and entitlement holders. (a) Except as otherwise
provided in subsections (b) and (c), if a securities intermediary does not have sufficient
interests in a particular financial asset to satisfy both its obligations to entitlement holders
who have security entitlements to that financial asset and its obligation to a creditor of

Section 7-8-103 Rules for determining whether certain obligations and interests are securities
or financial assets. (a) A share or similar equity interest issued by a corporation, business
trust, joint stock company, or similar entity is a security. (b) An "investment company

Section 40-29-23.1 Development and operation of financial institution data match program. (a)
For purposes of this section the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ACCOUNT.
A demand deposit account, checking account, negotiable withdrawal order account, savings account,
time deposit account, or money-market mutual fund account. (2) ACCOUNT HOLDER. A person or

Section 7-5-102 Definitions. (a) In this article: (1) "Adviser" means a person who,
at the request of the issuer, a confirmer, or another adviser, notifies, or requests another
