Section 7-8-320 (Effective Until January 1, 1997) Transfer or pledge within a central depository
system. (1) If a security: (a) Is in the custody of a clearing corporation or of a custodian
bank or a nominee of either subject to the instructions of the clearing corporation; and (b)
Is in bearer form or indorsed in blank by an appropriate person or registered in the name
of the clearing corporation or custodian bank or a nominee of either; and (c) Is shown on

Section 7-3-103 Definitions. (a) In this article: (1) "Acceptor" means a drawee who
has accepted a draft. (2) "Drawee" means a person ordered in a draft to make payment.
(3) "Drawer" means a person who signs or is identified in a draft as a person ordering
payment. (4) "Good faith" means honesty in fact in the conduct or transaction concerned.

Section 22-9A-11 Court reports of adoption. (a) For each adoption decreed by a court of competent
jurisdiction in this state, the court shall require the preparation of a report of adoption
on a form prescribed and furnished by the State Registrar. The report shall indicate those
facts necessary to locate and identify the certificate of birth of the person adopted or in
the case of a person who was born in a foreign country, evidence from sources determined to
be reliable by the court as to the date and place of birth of the person. The report shall
provide information necessary to establish a new certificate of birth of the person adopted,
identify the order of adoption, and be certified by the clerk of the court. (b) Information

Section 27-29-9 Injunctions; prohibitions against voting securities; sequestration of voting

Section 34-11-11.2 Complaints; investigation; hearing; sanctions. (a) Any person or entity,
including the board or its staff, may file a complaint alleging a violation of this chapter
against any individual licensee, certified intern, or firm holding a certificate of authorization
or against an unlicensed individual or firm. The complaint shall be in writing, shall be signed
by the complainant, shall state specifically the facts on which the complaint is based, and
shall be filed with the executive director of the board. (b) The board may designate one or
more individuals to investigate and report to it on any matter related to its lawful duties

Section 34-25A-5 Application for licensure or registration. (a) Except as provided in subsection
(h) or (i), no person shall administer prosthetic, orthotic, or pedorthic care in this state
unless licensed or registered to do so in accordance with this chapter. The board shall issue
approved forms for application prior to January 1, 2003. (b) In order to obtain a license
as a prosthetist, orthotist, or prosthetist/orthotist in this state, an applicant shall be
a citizen of the United States or, if not a citizen of the United States, a person who is

Section 8-6-2 Definitions. When used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires,
the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:

Section 27-10-53 Defense of action or proceeding by insurer. (a) Before an unauthorized insurer
shall file, or cause to be filed, any pleading in any action or proceeding instituted against
it under Sections 27-10-51 and 27-10-52, such insurer shall: (1) Procure a certificate of
authority to transact insurance in this state; or (2) Deposit with the clerk of the court

Section 45-23A-22 Television cable system. (a) The provisions of this section shall apply only
to the City of Daleville in Dale County. (b) The municipal corporation of the City of Daleville
in Dale County shall have the right to establish, purchase, construct, maintain, and operate
a television cable system and to furnish television cable service to their residents and residents
of surrounding territory. (c) The municipal corporation is authorized to construct, lease,
