Compact. The Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact is hereby enacted
into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions legally joining therein in form substantially
as follows: SECTION 1. PURPOSE In order to protect the public through verification of competency
and ensure accountability for patient care related activities all states license emergency
medical services (EMS) personnel, such as emergency medical technicians (EMTs), advanced EMTs

across state boundaries in the performance of their EMS duties as assigned by an appropriate

Section 6-5-146 Service of complaint on and answer by defendants; granting of preliminary injunction.
(a) A copy of the complaint, together with a notice of the time and place of the hearing of
the application for a preliminary injunction, shall be served upon the defendants at least
five days before such hearing. If the hearing shall then be continued at the instance of any
defendant, the temporary writ as petitioned for shall be granted as a matter of course. (b)
Each defendant so notified shall serve upon the plaintiff or the attorney filing the complaint
a verified answer on or before the date fixed in said notice for said hearing, and such answer

Section 9-17-18 Injunctions - Appeals. In any civil action where the board, in the name of
the state, seeks enforcement of this article or of any rule, regulation or order issued under
this article, as provided in Section 9-17-17 or in any civil action where an interested party
seeks to test the validity of or enjoin the enforcement of this article or any rule, regulation
or order issued under this article as provided in Section 9-17-16, either party shall have

Section 11-51-154 Bond to dissolve temporary injunctive relief - Execution; security; exception.
(a) When the court has granted a temporary restraining order or preliminary injunction, it
shall not be dissolved until the respondent has executed a bond in an amount fixed by the
court with sufficient surety to be approved by the register or clerk, containing a waiver
of exemptions as to personal property, conditioned to pay such judgment and lawful court costs
as the court upon final hearing may enter against the respondent, except as provided below.
