Section 22-51-1 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, unless otherwise indicated, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) CONSTRUCTION and CONSTRUCT. Such terms include: a. The construction of new buildings and the expansion, remodeling and alteration of existing buildings, including architects' fees; and b. Equipping new buildings and existing buildings, whether or not expanded, remodeled or altered. (2) COUNTY. Any county in the state. (3) DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH AND MENTAL RETARDATION. The department of the state government having that name which was created and established by Chapter 50 of this title. (4) FACILITIES. Section 34-24-361 Investigations; reporting offenses; proceedings and actions; privileged information. (a)(1) The State Board of Medical Examiners on its own motion may investigate any evidence which appears to show that a physician or osteopath holding a certificate of qualification to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of Alabama is or may be guilty of any of the acts, offenses, or conditions set out in Section 34-24-360. As part of its investigation, the board may require a criminal history background check of the physician or osteopath. In such event, the physician or osteopath shall submit a complete set of fingerprints to the State Board of Medical Examiners. (a) Every pharmacy when opened for business shall be under the personal supervision of a duly licensed pharmacist who shall have personal supervision of not more than one pharmacy at the same time. or any other person pays or makes other monetary settlement to a person when a vehicle is damaged and the damage to the vehicle is greater than or equal to 75 percent of the fair retail value of the vehicle prior to damage as set forth in a current edition of a nationally recognized compilation of retail values, including automated data bases.
