Section 27-36A-8 Reserve valuation method - Life insurance and endowment benefits. (a) Except as otherwise provided in Sections 27-36A-9, 27-36A-12, and 27-36A-14, reserves according to the commissioners reserve valuation method, for the life insurance and endowment benefits of policies providing for a uniform amount of insurance and requiring the payment of uniform premiums, shall be the excess, if any, of the present value, at the date of valuation, of the future guaranteed benefits provided for by the policies over the then present value of any future modified net premiums therefor. Section 27-14-30 Right to proceeds when same retained by life insurer. There shall be a provision in participating policies that, beginning not later than the end of the third policy year, the insurer shall annually ascertain and apportion the divisible surplus, if any, that will accrue on the policy anniversary or other dividend date specified in the policy, provided the policy is in force and all premiums to that date are paid.
