Section 45-49A-81.04 Investment of funds. All monies properly belonging to the fund shall be
kept in a separate account or accounts, and may, in the discretion of the persons charged
with the duties of administering the fund, be invested in any securities provided by law to
be a suitable investment for trust fund monies pursuant to the laws of this state including,
but not limited to, the following: (1) Bonds, notes, or other obligations of the United States,
or those guaranteed by the United States or for which the credit of the United States is pledged
for the payment of the principal and interest or the dividends thereof. (2) State bonds pledging
the full faith and credit of the state and revenue bonds additionally secured by the full
faith and credit of the state. (3) Bonds of the counties and municipalities of the state which
contain a pledge of full faith and credit of the county or municipality which issues the bonds.

Section 27-31A-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following
meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) COMMISSIONER.
The Insurance Commissioner of this state or the commissioner, director, or superintendent

Section 5-2A-20 Assessment of banks - When payable; amount; disposition of revenue. Each bank
shall on the call of the superintendent pay to the State Banking Department an assessment
fee based on the total resources of the bank as may be shown by its last report to the State
Banking Department. The rate of such assessment shall be in an amount fixed by the superintendent
and approved by the Banking Board and the assessment may be made more frequently than annually.
All assessments and other fees or penalties collected pursuant to this title by the State
Banking Department shall be paid into a special fund to be set up by the State Treasurer.
The special fund shall be used to pay the salaries of the officials and employees and the
expenses of the State Banking Department, including the purchase of equipment, vehicles, and

Section 6-5-341 Liability for operation or use of sport shooting range. (a) As used in this
section, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) GOVERNMENTAL BODY. The
State of Alabama or any county or municipal governing body, agency, board, commission, committee,

Section 9-10-38 Security for bonds. (a) At the discretion of the corporation, any bonds issued
under the provisions of this article may be secured by a trust agreement by and between the
corporation and a corporate trustee, which may be any trust company or bank having the powers

Section 10A-21-2.12 Aiding of another corporation in railroad construction or entering into
line arrangements. (a) Any railroad corporation and any mining, manufacturing, or quarrying
corporation may, at any time, by means of subscription to the capital stock of any other corporation

the contrary notwithstanding, any annual privilege tax levied upon persons engaging in the
business of producing or severing oil or gas or other hydrocarbons from the soil or waters
