Section 5-5A-44 Acquisition of majority of voting shares of a bank; procedure. (a) No person, acting directly or indirectly or through or in concert with one or more persons, may acquire control of a state bank or of any corporation or other entity having control of a state bank, unless an application is filed with the superintendent for review of the proposed transaction and for his or her action, if any, as provided in this section. (b) The application shall be on a form prescribed by the superintendent and shall be made under oath. The application must contain all information that the superintendent by regulation requires to be furnished in an application, as well as any information that the superintendent orders to be included in the particular application being filed and shall be accompanied by the filing fee prescribed by the Banking Board. Section 41-14A-6 Establishment of SAFE board of directors; powers and duties of the board of directors. (a) There is hereby established a Board of Directors of the SAFE Program charged with responsibility and authority to assess and manage the sufficiency of the collateral pool and the SAFE Program to provide adequate protection from losses to public depositors. Section 17-3-5 Compensation and allowances for registrars; treatment as state employees. (a) Each registrar shall receive a salary in the amount of eighty dollars ($80) per day for each day's attendance upon business of the board, to be paid by the state and disbursed to the county commissions and disbursed by the county commissions to each registrar on order of a quorum of the board of registrars of the county. Section 34-14A-20 Alabama Construction Trade Academy Fund; Alabama Construction Trade Advisory Council; applications for funding; program guidelines. (a) The Alabama Construction Trade Academy Fund is established in the State Treasury. The fund shall be comprised of federal, state, and private funding through direct budgetary funding and grants for the expansion of construction trade education.
