Section 32-9B-6 Teleoperation systems; Remote driver of vehicle considered its operator; license to operate; accidents. (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, a commercial motor vehicle equipped with a teleoperation system may operate without a conventional driver physically present in the vehicle if a remote driver is operating the vehicle. (b) When a remote driver is operating a commercial motor vehicle, the remote driver is considered to be the operator of the vehicle for the purpose of assessing compliance with applicable traffic or motor vehicle laws, including the rules of the road, and for the purpose of any charge for a violation of Title 13A or this title. Extradition of a person charged pursuant to this section shall be governed by Chapter 9 of Title 15. Section 5-18A-3 License - Required; applicability. (a) On or after January 1, 2004, no person shall engage in the business of deferred presentment services without having first obtained a license from the supervisor. A separate license shall be required for each location from which the business is conducted. (b) Trust companies, life insurance companies, and federally constituted agencies shall be exempt from licensing under this chapter. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this chapter, this chapter shall not apply to any of the following entities, and each of these entities shall be exempt from this chapter: Banks, credit unions, savings associations, savings banks, and thrift institutions organized pursuant to the laws of this state or any other state or the laws of the United States and any parent of any of the foregoing entities. Section 5-19-31 Nonapplicability of chapter to certain transactions; certain laws not repealed or amended. Section 5-25-13 Rules and regulations. (a) The department may promulgate those rules and regulations, not inconsistent with law, necessary for the enforcement of this chapter. Section 27-29A-5 ORSA Summary Report. (a) Upon the commissioner's request, and no more than once each year, an insurer shall submit to the commissioner an ORSA Summary Report or any combination of reports that together contain the information described in the ORSA Guidance Manual, applicable to the insurer or the insurance group of which it is a member, or both. (a) Not later than June 1 of each calendar year, an insurer or the insurance group of which the insurer is a member, shall submit to the commissioner a Corporate Governance Annual Disclosure that contains the information described in Section 27-29B-5.
