Section 5-17-5 Membership. Credit union membership shall consist of the incorporators and such
other persons as may be elected to membership and who subscribe to at least one share and
pay the initial installment thereon and the entrance fee. Organizations, incorporated or otherwise,
composed for the most part of the same general group as the credit union membership may be

Section 25-4-10 Employment. (a) Subject to other provisions of this chapter, "employment"
means: (1) Any service performed prior to January 1, 1978, which was employment as defined
in this section prior to such date and, subject to the other provisions of this section, services
performed for remuneration after December 31, 1977, including service in interstate commerce,
by: a. Any officer of a corporation; or b. Any individual who, under the usual common law
rules applicable in determining the employer-employee relationship, has the status of an employee;

Section 25-7-2 Definitions. When used in this article, the terms defined in this section shall
have the meanings herein ascribed to them, unless it clearly appears from the context that
some other meaning is indicated: (1) LABOR ORGANIZATION or LABOR UNION. Every organization,

Section 5-17-2 Procedure for organization and incorporation. (a) For the purposes of this chapter,
both a natural person credit union and a corporate credit union are considered a credit union
unless otherwise indicated. (b) The following may apply to the Administrator of the Alabama
Credit Union Administration for permission to organize a credit union: (1) For a natural person
