Section 16-25-19 Administration. (a) The general administration and responsibility for
the proper operation of the retirement system and for making effective the provisions of this
chapter are hereby vested in a board of trustees which shall be known as the Board of Control
and shall be organized immediately after a majority of the trustees provided for in this section
shall have qualified and taken the oath of office. (b) The board shall consist of 15 trustees

Section 37-11A-1 Execution and text of compact. The Governor, on behalf of this state,
shall execute a compact, in substantially the following form, with the State of Mississippi,
and the Legislature approves and ratifies the compact in the form substantially as follows:

Section 45-8A-23.057 Appointment of city manager. (a) The council by a majority vote
of the whole qualified membership of the council shall appoint a city manager, who shall be
an officer of the city and shall have the powers and perform the duties in this part provided.
No councilman shall receive such appointment during the term for which he or she shall have
been elected, nor within one year after the expiration of his or her term; nor shall he or
she receive any appointment as city manager under the provisions of Section 45-8A-23.092

Section 12-15-215 Disposition of delinquent children or children in need of supervision
generally. (a) If the juvenile court finds on proof beyond a reasonable doubt, based upon
competent, material, and relevant evidence, that a child committed the acts by reason of which
the child is alleged to be delinquent or in need of supervision, it may proceed immediately
to hear evidence as to whether the child is in need of care or rehabilitation and to file
its findings thereon. In the absence of evidence to the contrary, a finding that the child
has committed an act which constitutes a felony is sufficient to sustain a finding that the
child is in need of care or rehabilitation. If the juvenile court finds that the child is
not in need of care or rehabilitation, it shall dismiss the proceedings and discharge the

Section 45-37A-54.63 Board of directors. Such authority formed under this subpart shall
constitute a public benefit agency of the State of Alabama and shall have a board of directors
of nine members selected as herein provided. Such board of directors shall constitute the
