Section 36-25-1 Definitions. Whenever used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the following meanings: (1) BUSINESS. Any corporation, partnership, proprietorship, firm, enterprise, franchise, association, organization, self-employed individual, or any other legal entity. (2) BUSINESS WITH WHICH THE PERSON IS ASSOCIATED. Any business of which the person or a member of his or her family is an officer, owner, partner, board of director member, employee, or holder of more than five percent of the fair market value of the business. (3) CANDIDATE. This term as used in this chapter shall have the same meaning ascribed to it in Section 17-5-2. (4) COMMISSION. The State Ethics Commission. (5) COMPLAINT. Written allegation or allegations that a violation of this chapter has occurred. (6) COMPLAINANT. Section 44-2-10 Text of compact. The Interstate Compact for Juveniles is enacted into law and entered into with all jurisdictions mutually adopting the compact in the form substantially as follows: THE INTERSTATE COMPACT FOR JUVENILES Article I. Purpose. Section 45-28-100.02 School resource officers. (a) This section shall apply only in Etowah County. (b) A person who retired from the position of municipal police officer, deputy sheriff, or other position that required certification by the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission, the commission, and who retired in good standing may be employed as a part-time school resource officer by Etowah County or by a municipality or local school district in Etowah County in accordance with this section. Section 25-4-78 Disqualifications for benefits. An individual shall be disqualified for total or partial unemployment for any of the following: (1) LABOR DISPUTE IN PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT. The affairs of the association shall be managed by a board of directors which shall consist of nine persons appointed by the Secretary of the Department of Labor. To be eligible for appointment, a person must be an owner, employee, or agent of a member self-insurer, and should be experienced in the field.
