Section 45-48-244.03 Application of state statutes. All provisions of the state lodging tax statutes with respect to payment, assessment, and collection of the state lodging tax, making of reports and keeping and preserving records with respect thereto, interest after due date of tax; make reports, or otherwise comply with the state lodging tax statutes, the promulgation of rules and regulations with respect to the state lodging tax, and the administration and enforcement of the state lodging tax statutes, which are not inconsistent with this subpart when applied to the tax levied by this subpart, shall apply to the county tax levied. Section 45-25-243 Lodging tax levied. (a) In DeKalb County, in addition to all other taxes imposed by law, there is levied a privilege or license tax in the amount herein prescribed against every person within the county engaging in the business of renting or furnishing a room or rooms, lodging or accommodations, to a transient in a hotel, motel, inn, condominium, house, tourist court, or another place in which rooms, lodgings, or accommodations are regularly furnished to transients for a consideration.
