Section 45-49-120 Definitions. In this part, words used in the masculine gender include
the feminine and neuter genders, and words used in the neuter gender include the masculine
and feminine genders. The following words, terms, and phrases, wherever used in this part,
shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section unless the context
plainly indicates a contrary meaning: (1) APPOINTING AUTHORITY or APPOINTING POWER. A person,
officer, board, commission, or other body or person whose lawful jurisdiction or powers are
confined wholly or primarily within the territorial limits of Mobile County, or any incorporated

Section 11-3-45 Board; powers and duties; membership; terms; election of officers; compensation.
(a) The institute shall be under the direction and supervision of the Board of the Alabama

of directors. All powers of the authority shall be exercised by the board or pursuant to its

Section 22-30D-8 Advisory board. (a) There is hereby created the Alabama Drycleaning
Environmental Response Trust Fund Advisory Board consisting of seven persons who are residents
of the state appointed by the Governor of the state and confirmed by the Senate of the state.

Section 45-45-161 Distribution of payments. (a)(1) Pursuant to the authority granted
by Section 40-28-2, Madison County's share of payments made by the Tennessee Valley
Authority to the state in lieu of ad valorem taxes shall be distributed in the following manner:
