Section 45-5-81 Compensation. In addition to any compensation provided by the state,
each member and the clerk of the jury commission in Blount County shall receive a supplemental
salary in the amount of twenty dollars ($20) per day for each day spent in the discharge of

Section 45-39-83 Compensation. (a) In addition to all compensation heretofore provided
by law, each member of the Jury Commission of Lauderdale County, including the clerk of the
commission, shall be paid five dollars ($5) per day for the time actually engaged in the discharge
of his or her duties as such member, to be paid out of the county treasury, upon the warrant

Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence
in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with
tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to
requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer
has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among
other things, on the hazards of litigation. By establishing an independent Alabama Tax Tribunal
within the executive branch of government, this chapter provides taxpayers with a means of
resolving controversies that insures both the appearance and the reality of due process and

Section 17-8-12 Compensation of election officials. (a) The inspector and clerks shall
each be entitled to base compensation of fifty dollars ($50). The compensation of the election
officials shall be paid as preferred claims, out of moneys in the county treasury not appropriated,
on proper proof of service rendered. In all counties in which the compensation of election
officials is prescribed by local law or general law of local application at an amount in excess
