(a) The County Commission of Bibb County may establish and administer a program of revenue collection for all local taxes, licenses, fees, and other fees, charges, and revenues levied by the county commission pursuant to local law. (b) The County Commission of Bibb County may, within 30 days' written notice to the State Department of Revenue, assume the collection of all legally authorized tax proceeds levied by the county commission and currently being collected by the State Department of Revenue on behalf of Bibb County. (a) In addition to all other taxes of every kind now imposed by law, the Cherokee County Commission may levy a privilege or license tax upon every person, firm, or corporation engaging in the business of renting or furnishing any room or rooms, lodging, or accommodations to a transient in any hotel, motel, inn, tourist camp, tourist cabin, or any other place in which rooms, lodgings, or accommodations are regularly furnished to transients for a consideration.
