Section 45-7-241 Levy of tax; disposition of funds; construction with state sales tax statutes. (a) The following words, terms, and phrases as used in this section shall have the following respective meanings except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) "Commissioner" means the Commissioner of Revenue of the State. (2) "County" means Butler County in the State of Alabama. (3) "Fiscal Year" means the period commencing on October 1 of each calendar year and ending on September 30 of the next succeeding calendar year. (4) "Month" means a calendar month. (5) "Quarterly Period" means the period of three months ending on the last of each March, June, September, and December. Section 40-12-172 Transient dealers. Each person doing business as a transient dealer as defined in this section and who does not pay the privilege license under Section 40-12-73 or the license permit under Section 40-25-19 shall pay an annual license tax to the state of $30. (a) There is hereby levied in addition to all other taxes of every kind now imposed by law an excise tax on lubricating oil of $.04 per gallon, which shall be collected as herein provided. Section 9-17-1 Definitions. Unless the context otherwise requires, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) BOARD. The State Oil and Gas Board created by this article. Section 45-24-242.05 Reports to the commission. Within 30 days after any tax has been imposed pursuant to this part, every distributor, retail dealer, or storer shall make a report to the commission, on blanks furnished by it, showing the place and post office address at which the distributor, retail dealer, or storer is engaged in the business. The information shall be entered on a book for that purpose. If the distributor, retail dealer, or storer moves the place of business from one address to another, the distributor, retail dealer, or storer shall within 30 days thereafter notify the commission of the move, and shall give the former place and post office address and the place and post office address to which the place of business has moved.
