Section 45-46-242.07 Issuance fee on motor vehicle tags or plates. In addition to all other
issuance fees currently provided by law, the county officer charged with the duty and responsibility
of issuing motor vehicle license tags and plates in the county shall assess and collect an
issuance fee of five dollars ($5) on each tag or plate issued. The proceeds from the additional
fee shall be used for the construction and maintenance of the new county jail, and to repay

Section 45-5-60.02 Additional expense allowance; health care benefits; cost-of-living increases.
(a) Commencing on May 16, 2008, the Coroner of Blount County shall be entitled to an additional
expense allowance in an amount equal to the employer portion of all health care benefits provided
to any other elected official of Blount County to be paid in equal monthly installments out
of the county general fund. The expense allowance shall be in addition to all other expense
allowances, compensation, or salary provided by law. (b) Beginning the next term of office

provided for by this division shall be prepared by the Commissioner of Revenue and shall be
issued through the probate judge or license commissioner of the several counties of the state
