Section 45-49A-80 City council districts. (a) The Judge of Probate of Mobile County shall divide the City of Prichard into five districts which shall be homogeneous in area and nearly equal in population, with the number of persons residing in each district, according to the last federal census, not to vary by over five percent. (b) The boundaries as established by the judge of probate shall be certified to the Prichard City Council and shall be used by the council for the election of the members of the city council in the 1980 municipal election and for all council elections thereafter.
