Section 45-49-72.04 Salaries. The members of the County Commission of Mobile County shall devote
their full time to the discharge of their official duties. Effective for the term of office
commencing on the first Monday after the second Tuesday in January 1969, and thereafter, the
president of the commission shall receive an annual salary of sixteen thousand dollars ($16,000)
and each associate commissioner shall receive an annual salary of fifteen thousand dollars
($15,000). The salaries of the president and associate commissioners shall be paid in equal
monthly installments from any funds in the county treasury available for that purpose, as

Section 45-8-60.01 Salary and expense allowance; assistant coroners. (a) This section shall
apply only to Calhoun County. (b)(1) After May 6, 2009, the coroner shall continue to receive

Section 40-1-47 Investment of ad valorem taxes. On and after October 1, 1988, all tax collectors,
elected assistant tax collectors, revenue commissioners, license commissioners, and other
officials charged with assessing and/or collecting ad valorem taxes in the various counties
of this state shall invest the ad valorem taxes collected by such officials in short term
investments for the period of time between collection of said taxes and distribution of same

the contrary notwithstanding, any annual privilege tax levied upon persons engaging in the

Section 45-41-243 Taxes and fees authorized. (a) The Lee County Commission is hereby authorized
