Section 45-49-230 Salary - Sheriff. (a) In Mobile County, effective beginning the next term of office of the sheriff, the Sheriff of Mobile County shall receive an annual salary that is 90 percent of the annual salary of the District Attorney of Mobile County. (b) The salary of the sheriff on and after January 15, 2007, based on the interpretation of Acts 1939, No. 594, 1939 Regular Session (Local Acts 1939, p. 355), as amended, by Mobile County, that the sheriff receive a salary based on 75 percent of the highest paid circuit judge in the county is ratified and confirmed, and any salary payments made to the sheriff after January 15, 2007, are ratified and confirmed.
