Section 45-44-81 Law library. In any case, action, or proceeding hereafter filed, whether at law or in equity in any circuit or district court in Macon County, there is hereby authorized to be charged a tax of one dollar ($1) which tax shall be in addition to all other court costs heretofore authorized to be charged. The costs taxed under this section shall be collected as other costs in such cases are collected; and when collected by the clerks or other collecting officers of such courts, including the register of the circuit court, shall be by them paid over to the treasurer or depository of Macon County for deposit in the county treasury. Section 12-17-215 Compensation; term of office; impeachment. (a) The salary of each supernumerary district attorney shall be an amount equal to $500.00 less than the salary paid by the state to supernumerary circuit judges and shall be paid as other district attorneys' salaries are now paid, for the payment of which an appropriation is hereby made. Such supernumerary district attorney shall hold office during good behavior of such supernumerary district attorney and may be removed only by impeachment for the causes specified in the Constitution of Alabama. (a) The county commission shall be responsible for securing legal counsel to represent the state and county in all property tax cases appealed to the circuit court in the county. Section 45-11-80.01 Additional court costs; Public Safety Technology Fund. (a) In all criminal, quasi-criminal, and traffic cases in district, circuit, and municipal courts in Chilton County, there shall be taxed as costs an additional ten dollars ($10) in each case.
